19C enamelled foot warmer

This would originally have been used to hold hot coals to keep a ladies feet warm in her carriage , but now it’s just a lovely decorative item. The colour is beautiful and I love to pop some flowers through the lattice .. either fresh , with little pots of water inside, or dried . It also looks great with some tea lights inside. One hinge on the back has snapped but it’s not really an issue unless you’re going to carry hot coals in it !!
