Extra large French wash box

Also known as a carrosse, these French wash boxes were used to kneel on whilst washing clothes at the village wash house. Now they are great display pieces, either standing on a worktop or hung on a wall. Perfect to frame a few treasures and , as this one is quite tall, display some old photos or children’s drawings, or to store anything from plant pots to loo rolls . There has been some historic woodworm but I have treated it just to be on the safe side.
