Enamel French foot warmer

I absolutely love finding these but it’s getting rarer . Originally filled with hot coals to keep your feet warm whilst in your carriage , now I love them as display items - either as they are or ( my favourite) with some flowers displayed through the holes .. dried work well or pop some tiny pots of water inside for fresh ones. Another use is to pop it in the garden with tea lights flickering through the holes . 

This one has had plenty of use which is reflected in the price- the enamel has oxidised in places. one of the hinges is broken ( not an issue if it’s a display piece) and the handle is missing- although I think this is an advantage as they can get in the way of flowers.
